Easter

Well, my season of Lent went very well. I feel like I have a good grasp on what is truly important to me and what I can do without. It all came together on Easter Sunday. What an amazing day! We made it to church on time - amazing! The twins did not cry going in to the nursery and we actually got close seats in the sanctuary - amazing! The service was fantastic! Great music, great message and great weather to take a family picture outside - amazing!

Then we came home and headed over to our neighbor's house. The Souza's also have 5 kids and graciously invited us over for egg hunting and brunch. Karma is amazing! She made a cinnamon roll lamb, a meat pie, sweet pie and a wheat pie, Easter bread and so much more....I want to be just like her when I grow up! Then the kids headed out for the egg hunt - what fun! The older kids were in search of their "Golden Egg" filled with money. They each had their own egg to find with their name on it. They all found their egg except for one poor little guy. Turns out Layla had picked it up and handed it to Bryan, he popped it in his pocket without realizing what it was - silly guy! After searching high and low he finally realized it was in his pocket and handed it over to the poor kid! Layla and Ysabelle were a little less sure of the egg hunt. Once they opened up their Sesame Street egg it was all over anyway, they loved the Cookie Monster and Elmo figurines that were inside!!!! We took a great picture of all 10 kids (plus Logan) and then we headed for home.

We rested for a bit and then we had celebration #2. We invited a bunch of our friends over for an Easter BBQ. It was amazing and very Norman Rockwell. Kids playing with sidewalk chalk, blowing bubbles, baseball in the street, giggling and laughing and lots of food!

It was an amazing day filled with so many blessings! God has given me so much in my life. His love was shown crystal clear on Easter Sunday, a truly amazing day!!!!
