Happy Halloween

Oh what a day! We were busy from the very beginning of the day to the very end!!! We woke up and had Olyvia get dressed up in her costume, Wesley was partially dressed (Indiana Jones pants and a white button up shirt) and Tyler did his hair red and spiky for crazy hair day. I dropped the kids off at school and ran out to Costco, came home and stashed all of the food before running back to the school to get Lyv. She and Papa and I ate lunch at the school and then we went to Wesley's class to get him ready for the parade. We watched Wesley and Olyvia parade around the blacktop for a few laps - it was very cute!!!! Then we picked up Ty from class and walked home. We rested and had a healthy snack and then we went to the Halloween block party. The kids played games and bobbed for apples. The twins were tired of being held against their will in the wagon for so long so I finally let them out. They stayed close to me but they did enjoy "playing" some games. Then we went home and had a potty break and freshened up. Then we did the neighborhood parade. It was so cute! The twins led the way and and Olyvia was close behind. The boys walked together and proudly displayed their costumes. Then we went to the church Fall Festival. We had a yummy dinner of soup and cornbread and played more games! After we played all of the games and won candy and prizes we decided to head home. We let the twins run around a little bit while Bryan took the big kids trick or treating. I finally put the twins to bed at about 8:30pm!!!! When the big kids got home we watched the Great Pumpkin one more time and sent them to bed. It was a long day but we all had a great time. Everyone was well behaved and no tears were shed! We have more candy than we know what to do with and I have already had more than my share! We were very happy to have Bryan home to share the evening with us...
