A Rainy Day Craft

While I am not the craftiest gal on Earth,  I like to do various crafts.
I do not knit at all, although I wish I could!
I sew a little bit, we are talking pillow cases and aprons, not evening gowns and fine linens.
I scrapbook, kind of, I should do it more, I will someday...maybe.
But what I do like to make are mini projects. You know, the kind you do on holidays or special occasions. The other day I had a special occasion. It was raining and all of my older children were out of the house! It was a perfect day to do something crafty! I rummaged around the house until I found suitable supplies for a perfect afternoon craft and I think it turned out quite nice!

My supplies... a 10x10 canvas, 3 pieces of scrapbook paper, a stencil, and mod podge or glue...

Trace the stencil on to the back of the paper you are using and cut it out

put it all together

slather it with mod podge or other sealant and wait for it to dry

Then hang it up on your daughter's wall - she will love it!
(I just want to add that it is hung straight but the picture is taken crooked!)

  2. What a fantastic idea! I need more of these ideas to do the nursery up cute. And I'll be doing a "big boy" room for the twins soon - that will come in handy too.
    Thanks for the ideas!
